It was a concert in the park tonight. We took the "Oooooogah" car with a picnic and heard some great Blue's music-while the kids played in the pond catching frogs and catching fireflies-Summertime fun!
Just to kick off the fun......Cookies! 1 egg 1/2 C sugar 1/2 C Corn oil 1 C flour Mix all together by hand. You may add any type of flavoring , pecans, chocolate chips......what ever you like. Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake 350 for 15 mins. Love these Enjoy
Well,the birds in your neighborhood! I took Angora wool from my goats {use anything you have...scraps of fabric,lint,ect} roll into a loose ball tie with string/yarn hang in a tree and watch and wait...you will have helped your birds feather their nest!
GrandMa's Sour Cream Pound Cake This is a good one! Serve with whip cream and Fresh Strawberries! 3 Cups all-purpose Flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 Cups butter (3 sticks) 3 Cups sugar 8 eggs, lightly beaten 1 TB Pure Vanilla Extract 8 oz sour cream Preheat oven to 300 , Combine flour, salt and baking soda.. Cream butter and sugar -add eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add vanilla and sour cream, mix well. Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1.5 hours. Let cool then put on your most gorgeous cake stand and add a sprig of mint. Invite a few friends over and enjoy!
