We were so excited to see Sammy the coon tonight. It's been a while since he stop by for a visit ...so , we were extra excited tonight to see our second favorite coon. He hung around for dinner ..having dog food, strawberry poptarts and a big bowl of water before heading back out into the winter weather. Thanks Sammy. Coon.

There are six new beautiful buff Orpingtons that have joined my crew of hens! 6 buff Orpingtons and 2 easter egg layers....... Its going to be a great spring .

Every year when February comes around... I pull out this picture of my sweet dear friend Diane and post it on Facebook for the world to see how darn cute she is. This year she celebrates  her 61st birthday , she's still looking good and is as sweet as ever and can cook a mean skillet of biscuits. Happy birthday Diane I will never forget this trip that we took together to Belize, Central America and I will forever protect this photo so that I might bring it out once a year to remind you of the body you used to have..... lol  happy 61st birthday.

It's been a long time since I put on a pair of roller skates. We celebrated Jackson's friend Molly's birthday last week at the roller skating rink. It was jackson first time to give roller skating a try, he did a great job and had a blast. I am also happy to report that I can still skate!!! Happy birthday Molly.

Tonight we were surprised by all of the Smith girls. Martha Claire and kamikaze Sarah Smith. A big fire was built, hot tea was brewed we SAT around listening to Christmas carols.. making clove oranges having cheese and cracker snacks and apples and peanut butter... just hanging out with the kids ,an awesome night and a great surprise! Oh and I almost forgot we ended the night with banana splits.

Today we caught Sparky in the printer, printing copies of himself ...Always up to no good!

Today was a day that we took time to honor our wounded vets.Thank You For Your service! Fresh greens for the door. And...sparky could be found zipling thru the kitchen....

We're back by popular demand!!!  We are so excited that the holidays have finally arrived...we've been waiting! So without further ado The days of Christmas 2014 ...START NOW!!! Everyday. ..(that we can) we will be doing something fun after school!  If you live close and can get to our house ...come on over !!! This was one of my favorite Christmases. All of my dad's brothers and their families came together for a true "homemade country christmas" We went to the woods to cut down our tree, made ornaments, baked goodies , made our gifts and shared the love of a great family.
